Discussions with Lehmark Underway

The Flag of the Empire of Lehmark.

The New Masovian office of the Secretary of State announced earlier today that the Principality of New Masovia has entered into discussions with the Empire of Lehmark regarding a treaty of mutual recognition.  Stanisław Bieliński, acting Secretary of state, noted that conversations with the Empire of Lehmark had begun last fall, but were delayed due to heavy economic activity here at home over the fourth quarter of 2021.  Talks resumed this past week between New Masovia and Lehmark, and Bieliński said things were going well.

"New Masovia has a lot in common with Lehmark in terms of social progressiveness, among other traits," said Bieliński.  "They have already recognized other micronations related to the Polish Diaspora, and we find this very meaningful and promising."  Talks will continue into January until a final treaty has been signed by both parties.

New Masovia's acting Minister of Land Management,
Szczepan Jedliński, explained in a press conference earlier today, that these green spaces would be open to all. "There is so much natural beauty in these new regions of New Masovia. We want our visitors to enjoy them as much as we do." When asked if these spaces would be converted to National Parks, complete with ticketed admission, gift shops, and concession stands, Jedliński said, "Open to all means open to all, though a soft-serve kiosk never hurts. Postcards may be a possibility down the road."

New Masovia Announces Beautification Program

Maybe you've noticed a few more flowers around the Principality. Or even something as simple as a new plot of grass. This is no coincidence, as the Ministry of The Interior has launched a new beautification program, callede 22 For 2022, a new program designed to bring new green spaces to New Masovia.
Acting Secretary of the Interior, Izabela Strzelecka, described the program in greater detail. "The inception of the idea for 22 For 2022 was to plant 22 new shrubs or perennials on the Royal Estate between September 2021 and the end of the planting season for 2022. In the first month alone, we have already installed nine plantings, with just thirteen to go, and several more on deck before the end of the year. But the plan calls for more than just new plants. Mammoth Steppe restoration, drainage improvements, and a new Arboretum are also in the works." Citizens are encouraged to take part in this new by beautifying their own properties for the good of all in New Masovia.
